E-Bike Hire Northern Rivers Rail Trail & Byron Bay

The trail is shady and safe. Scenery is picturesque.
Coffee shops and cafes along the way and cute towns. Thoroughly recommended!

Lots of the track is thru the bush so there is plenty of shade on a scorching day. The track itself is very easy to ride and impeccably maintained and the bikes provided were excellent. Will definitely do again on our next stay in Byron.

As for the Rail Trail itself- it is excellent. If you are not a confident rider I would advise doing the trail between Wednesday and Friday outside school holidays when quiet. The verges can be steep in places and it can be nerve wracking passing families with a number of young children who are not so aware.

Make sure you pack swimmers on a hot day as the pub at Mooball has a pool to swim before you ride your return journey.
